The Protein Tracker
Food providers such as supermarkets play an important role in the protein transition. 70% of the food that Dutch people consume comes from the supermarket. To know how supermarkets contribute to this transition, it is important to understand the amount of proteins sold and the ratio between animal and vegetable proteins.
The Protein Tracker was developed at the initiative of the Green Protein Alliance (GPA) in collaboration with ProVeg Netherlands and the Dutch supermarkets, with input from industry experts and the Dutch government.
